A few Sundays ago as I was unlocking the church doors, I discovered a lost mole at the bottom of an outdoor stairwell. He or she (I did not take the time to look) had apparently stumbled down the first step and being unable to get back up, continued his (I'll assume his gender) descent all the way to the bottom where he was aimlessly wondering from side to side.
